The biggest RTS release in years! Removed from the store for good? What, why? Can we get a SITREP, please?
It's a shame, first there's no "Tempest Rising" here on GOG, and now "Broken Arrow" is being removed from the store. GOG won't be able to do anything about it, and I WILL NOT buy the games on Steam, but I would also prefer it if GOG at least let us know that it was removed and why. A simple "By order of the rights holder" would suffice.
The game is scheduled for release in June 2025 exclusively for Microsoft Windows via Steam.
Not judging anyone for the interest. I am curious as to why the game would be popular at all? Looks like a graphical orgasm for the eyes. Typically these games are set in a limited world bubble. So having invisible walls like the holodeck of Star Trek, makes everything revolve around the player. This is what I hate about many games.

The point im getting at with broken arrow, is the game has aircraft. If you can fly in seconds across the entire world bubble in seconds....aomethings gotta give bro.

Possible outcome:
-The aircraft are only support and not player perspective.
-The world bubble moves with the player and the edges shift as well. But in turn limit the range to the computer the game resides in. So the world space is shit, unless you own a super computer.

I dig a good sandbox, but the graphics keep increasing, but the developers dont seem to care about the mechanics. Like, at all.

Warzone 2100 has playable air units. What's the snag you see there?

Never heard of it. Lemme check some vids before I consider if I would have an opinion at all :)

Edit:

Ok, its similar to Starcraft or something. Aside from not being of interest to me for the limited map area, I dont really have of an opinion on it. But thanks for the heads up about a freebie. Maybe other forum members will try it. Its cross platform too :)

Umm, this thread is so confusing.

What is this Broken Arrow game? The first message suggests it was on GOG but was removed, someone else said it is not even released yet, etc.? Can you guys please make any less sense?

At least it has great music:

Yes, and it had a shop entry "Coming soon".
Maybe they couldn't get the online portion of the game operational for the GOG build?
Shame, would have picked it up here regardless.

kultpcgames: no "Tempest Rising" here on GOG
And it probably won't appear here anytime soon, or at least as long as 3D Realms remains a subsidiary of Saber Interactive.

Seems so, they removed "Ripout" from GOG store too.

I suspect there won't be much more coming. Phantom Fury only barely made it here. It's a shame, because I'd buy Tempest Rising, Ripout, Twisted Tower, Cultic, Core Decay, and Combustion here on GOG, but not on Steam.

Yeah, I was waiting on that game myself. It really annoyed the hell out of me that the title was pulled before it was ever for sale.

Can't find the statement at the moment, but I'm fairly certain I saw the Core Decay developer Ivar Hill confirm that the GOG release is still happening no matter what.

Same with Cultic:

Looks like it depends on whether the title in question is only published by 3D Realms/Saber Interactive. If the developer wants the title to release on GOG as well, then 3D Realms/Saber Interactive has to comply.

That would be great. I also can't understand why paying customers and fans of the games should be denied this. I'll wait patiently... :)
