Printers can have viruses but they won't express themselves by jamming your paper. So it's highly unlikely that yours have one.

What's far more likely is the possibility that it has something to do with WHAT you print. If you print some full page colour images then the rollers can get slippery and they won't move your paper along as they should.

It's also possible that your rollers are dirty and simple cleanup might suffice to give better contact with the paper. If you are tech savvy and can clean them yourself then go for it. If not then let someone with more experience with such procedures do it for you.

It's also possible that somewhere the rollers are pressed too hard against the paper and that's why the paper gets stuck.

If you know precisely where the paper gets stuck then you might help it along with DIY device made out of paper or cardboard or something else.

I hope this helps. I haven't fixed printers for long time but those are the most common causes for paper jams if I remember correctly.

Keith_I2: Someone should make a printer that prints both sides of the page at once.
They should.

Keith_I2: Today is the first time that I've seen the cookie screen on GOG!
If you log in regularly and your cookies haven't expired then they won't ask you.
While they ask me every time when I clear my history and cookies and everything.
If it can run code it can have a virus. However viruses for printers seems unlikely. With 'the internet of things' your printer may be compromised to become a network of bots which may do things like DDOS attacks, or crypto-coin mining. But that's unlikely.

Keith_I2: I went to a walkthrough site and right click on each walkthrough page and choose to save it as internet complete. While not connected, I chose to print, dual sided, quality standard vivid, color, etc. Every time the paper jams; page 9 prints ok but when it rolls over for page 10 it jams. another section of another document does the same on page 11-12. All other pages of multi part documents does OK.
Doesn't sound like a virus, sounds like either a) the machine is warming enough where things happen when it's warm that it wouldn't, or b) dirty/old/odd paper or something where it gets caught, or c) printer needs cleaning. There's certain types of liquids used for delicate parts, or just compressed air may work under 50psi to get the most of it out.

Keith_I2: And, when the H**L did this site start using cookies?
Cookies signify which machine you are and you are 'logged in'. I made a site once that used sessions, they timed out every 9 minutes. A cookie on the other hand along with a table/entry would let you stay logged in indefinitely.

It's far more likely a site uses cookies than not. Try installing an auto-cookie deleter... you may end up logging in to some sites more often unless you add them to the white-list. Great for things like YouTube where you don't want it to show off suggestions for cooking and minecraft videos just because you glanced at a few in passing.

Demons need constant exercise, ie at least twice a week. They need to know they're appreciated so they'll throw tantrums and you must be patient and work through them. You must give them attention even if they don't need it because they'll appreciate it. If you don't do any of these, you can't expect your inkjet printer to work properly.

Breja: I think the far more interesting question is: can a virus have a printer?
Yes.

For example, i'm guessing the odds are probably very good that at least one of the forum raters owns one.
