Epitaph666: (btw, who's Jill Sandwich?).
Barry's nickname for Jill Valentine in the original Resident Evil when she almost gets flattened or "sandwiched" in a trap where the ceiling comes down. Happens after picking up the shotgun in the same room.

Lol, you're responding to a question that was asked 11 years ago. I think the guy's moved on by now.

I hope so, anyway.

Aaah! Mystery is solved! Funny thing is, i played (and replayed) the demo of RE in 1998 and the full game (and the remake) like a maniac. i've seen that scene about 15+ times just to get the shotgun from the start of the game, but i didn't connect it with what he said.

Heyy nooo, it's ok! I didn't remembered the phrase he used, but it's good that he finally explained what the other guy meant!

Now let's all hope we'll get Blair Witch Trilogy and Nocturne!
I already tried to replay the game with the fix, one guy posted a few pages back (he also was kind enough to send me a private message), but the game/patch/fix was not working for me...

I, for one, am happy we closed the loop on this.
I really wish they would bring these games back and give people an easier way to try them out.
Isn't it time for GOG to finally release those 4 games???

C'mon GOG!!!!
I really hope that one day excellent works like Nocturne and Blair Witch can be added to GOG.
Recently I saw that The Thing is about to be remade, maybe the future is not hopeless for Nocturne and BW?

BTW, I created an extended ending for the game through Nocturne Editor, which includes new plot content, replacement character models, monster models transplanted from the BW series, and selfmade new textures. Is anyone interested?

Weird, I was pruning my list of favorited threads but kept this one in case another post came along :)

Imo, the best thing to do at this point is to find a secondhand copy or (totally not) trawl the high seas. Still would be nice to see Nocturne and the old Blair Witch trilogy come to some DRM-free storefront.
I really hope they put out Nocturne and the BW games on here, that would be cool. Nocturne is one of my favorite games ever :) Been working off and on on a decompilation project for Nocturne to bring it to modern systems and give better controller support and the like. Got inspired again by the newest Lego Island decomp update to dig back into it, along with a friend. Hopefully we'll be able to make as much progress as them. There's a lot of fun stuff already found by digging into the binary.
I can't say much here, but Nocturne tuned to run on modern coputers is out there.
i did not relaize until thei thread that Nocturn e had a tie din with the lair Witch games.
Nocturn has flaws of course, but is still overall a fun game.
Major flaws are the camera can be tricky , some of the jumps are hard t make, and the first part of the Chicago episode is really, really, hard and frustrating.
The ifrst two leveal are great, CHicago is fun once you get past that opening sequence. The fourth level is the weakest, I h avr read that it is a very truncated version of what the desgineres had in mind because money ran out. (In those days, video games had a tight budget) . The original idea was for Doctor (Elspeth) to go into the field with the Stranger, where she is captured early on and the Stranger has to rescue her. Makes sesne, since the charectro is built up in the cutscenes, which idicates they had something more in mind for her.
Hpoe this does get on GOG.
Look at this: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/nocturne_1999_and_the_three_volumes_of_blair_witch_2000
And if possible... Vote! =D
