The game was most likely made 90's. Up to 2005 most. I's rpg, sci-fi, space game. It was likely a windows game. In the game as a commander you start with 1-3 low class ships which have 1-3 slots for modules, such as weapons, engines. As you level up you can add skillpoints to your commander, one of those skills, I remember might have been called "Leadership" which allowed you to have more ships in your fleet (up to 15?). There were like 10 classes of ships and last ones were long-spine battle cruiser, fat triangle-shaped ship and a huge moon-ship (think deathstar). In bigger ships you could put modules to make it harbor for smaller ships, allowing you to have more ships in fleet.
Most of the game happened in menus where you manage your ships and modules. Other part was almost auto-battle screen where you had minimal control. I remember you could start shooting early with CTRL or target with mouse.
The menus were pretty neat and clean, which makes me believe it was not DOS game. It might not have been fullscreen view.. In battle it was a top down view of moving 2d sprites on black screen (maybe with dots as stars.)
If there was any story or campaign I don't remember of it as it might have been demo version.
It seems so unlikely that anyone would know of it, but I'd appreciate any info.
