Oddly enough I can see that my buddy is in-game in The Witcher 3, so I guess not everyone is affected for some reason.

Same here, for over an hour. Now it got magically solved. If the servers are down why not just say so on the gog homepage?! Terrible app...

I can confirm that it works again.

I'm a bit pissed right now that Galaxy doesn't locally save achievement progress when not connected (the way it works on Live and PSN). Just noticed that I've missed a few achievements in BattleZone 98 Redux due to this. Can't even begin to imagine the headaches some players may get in case of games where achievements are triggered after dozens or hundreds of hours of gameplay without any easy way to go back and retrigger them.
