The Collapsed game had a character selection on the first screen, but after playing a few rounds I haven't seen an option to select a different character. Is there a way to get this screen back or is the player stuck with their initial choice?

Going off of memory here, but I'm pretty sure you have to start from one of the other save slots to use the other characters. Your overall skill progress should be persistent even when you play from another save slot, though, so it's not like restarting the game from the very beginning despite that being how other games typically work.
