mrkgnao: In the context of bonuses, the indication of "coming soon" almost always means "not coming at all, ever".

Darvond: That only reinforces the point of this thread.
Perhaps. But GOG's website is so full of errors and misrepresentations that I don't see a reason to focus on this one out of the multitude.

A fair point perhaps, but at the very least these "coming soon" entries are but visual clutter, requiring no code.
Didn't the original dev team for VTMB2 (including Mitsoda) get fired and replaced? Even if it ever comes out, highly likely it'll be shit.

Nay, they also have a visible ID in the grand olde GOG registry (and API). Which makes them what us API entry hunters like to call intentional reveals. I hope you understand that implies the existence of opposites, but let us not talk of such things in plain sight.

Sight plainly unseen then. I did forget about the man behind the curtain a bit.

Yes, that's why I was treating it with a bit of verbal contempt; calling it a gong show.

After the time it took Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night to be released, I always took GOG's "Coming Soon" as the equivalent of Blizzard Time. I mean, it's probably the only game that got not one, but two Coming Soon threads:

Darvond: So GOG, we need to have a talk. I'm going to sit you down and tell you to redefine what you consider as "Coming Soon". A vague "Q6 in 3001" is going to be better than nothing. It would at least give a target time for the public to go nudge the publishers with a kindly elbow.
I understand your frustration, but in fairness, it's not really the fault of GoG that games have unexpected delays - and Steam does pretty much the same thing (see Steamworks documentation: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/coming_soon)

"When it's ready" is one thing. But there is a good chance of VTM2 unexisting.

I'd agree there is now, although there wasn't when it was originally listed. Both Steam and GoG list it as having a "TBA" released date; I don't think it hits the threshold of being too unclear to need changing.

Also, I didn't say "And you too" in my post, so not sure what you were trying to quote there :D

It was more that I was trying to include you in the point I was making, so it was akin to pulling you along with a cane or crook.
So when is prey II coming out, Aww... That's right the developers we wage-raped into oblivion!
