Go nuts, blow up bolts.

Blazing Chrome is coming soon DRM-free.

The machines have won. AGAIN! Now Mavra and her converted clanker friend, Doyle, are spearheading humanity's counter-attack. Terminate hordes of rabbid murderbots with a fine selection of guns, blow up huge bosses, and generally feel like a post-apocalyptic badass in this 16-bit love letter to ye olde Arcade. Try it solo or in explosive local co-op.
DX 11? Really? Looks like the games I played in the eighties.
Mal posso esperar pessoal, tenho Oniken e Odallus (JOGAÇOS!) , irei comprar tanto aqui quanto no Steam e eventualmente consoles.
Fica apenas uma pergunta, seria demais pedir uam edição física como Horizon Chase recebeu aqui no Brasil?
Um grande abraço!

Do keep in mind that there has been no (security update) support for below DX11 and WIndows 10 for some while now.
Hence especially this year a lot bigger-media-attention-basking-companies are dropping users who haven't upgraded within past decade or so
( E.G. "Steam"-store hasn't been catering Windows XP and Vista-operative-system users since January 1st 2019 ).

Hence why it's simply obvious to build upon current tech.

(( Yes, you can use "assembly"-coding and whatever else limitations to make the products.
But for the most part you're still required to publish things on modern platforms to ensure end-users are able to use and hopefully enjoy your product.
Unless of course you're specifically aiming for "obsolete-tech-niche"-markets
( E.G. publishing music on vinyl-records ). ))

Bem que Horizon Chase podia sair por aqui, isso sim.
I must buy this. Then I do a Livestream on Youtube.

Then why not DX12? Or Vulkan?

But I think something like SDL2 would serve this game just fine (although idk if it uses DirectX under the hood on Windows).
No werewolf with a gun arm? Pass!

Just kidding.
Looks good and comes from a company I trust. Count me in.

GOG, your curation is slowly changing for good. Thumbs up.
Looks great! Was blown away by the 3rd or 4th video, "Environments"... Awesome!
And the music is fantastic, on par with the visuals... Whoa!
Probably happened at some point during design meetings:

"Hey, what if Appleseed was a Contra Hardcore sequel?"

:P

Looking mighty awesome!

Horizon Chase Turbo é um jogaço da porra, tenho na Steam!
As I grew up in the 80s... I look very fondly at this love letter to the 80s vibe. Bravo.... bravo..
I was about to go on a rant about pixel shovelware then i took a look and liked what i saw and it's from Joymasher so this goes on my buy list when released.

Well DX12 is still considered a little bit experimental; the DX11.3 seemingly suffices well enough for "final-products"
( and DX10 basically was a "Vista"-product, which is why semi-jokingly DX11 is referred as "DX10 but as broken" ).

Very possibly if this game gets a say Linux-port it might be using Vulcan as an alternative.

As for the "Simple DirectMedia Layer", I am not fully certain what to reply; I might have misunderstood the phrase.
But for the sake of information this is worth mentioning (again):
"A common misconception is that SDL is a game engine, but this is not true. However, the library is suited to building games directly or is usable indirectly by engines built on top of it."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_DirectMedia_Layer

In the end most likelihoods a some level of requirement for DirectX still ends up for the Windows-users
And DirectX11 at the moment seems t be the most stable current-tech-wise which also still (seemingly)l gets (security) updates.

SDL isn't a game engine, DirectX isn't a game engine, Vulkan isn't a game engine, OpenGL isn't a game engine. So that's not a particularly relevant quote.

That's probably true, although I was under the impression that SDL supports older versions of windows, and the backend could be selected via environment variables.
