I had some free time tonight and decided to play some witcher. I haven't played in a while, so I thought it would be fun to load it up again. I had been launching it through steam, even though I bought it using my gog account. I got a few errors and decided to launch the galaxy client to try and do a repair.

When I couldn't log in, I searched my email address for 'gog' and sure enough way back in 2015 someone had changed my email address. I have submitted a ticket, and hopefully i'll hear back soon, but that's not why I'm posting here.

I made a new account, just to see if I can repair the installation. This is my new account for now. I did the search folders for games, and it found witcher 3 for me. However when I right click on it, the option to repair the game is grayed out. And hitting play doesn't do anything at all.

I wonder if it is because this account i'm using doesn't actually own witcher 3? Is there some way that I can verify the installation? I'd hate to re download the entire game, and I don't want to lose my save either.

Wait for support to restore your account, then you should be able to verify/repair your game. Your saves should be in your Documents folder from what I recall, would be a good idea to make a copy of them, just in case.
