Radiance1979: The question in its self is not that difficult. The main focus revolves around specifying a background for the people who like to commit to the discussion and the other one is aimed at your experience with games.
But yea, closet SJW..... It is a nice term, feels a bit out of touch with the explanations that follows though, but yea in a way i guess any good christian, and maybe even bad ones... i guess bad ones would be sooner to receive that title,
can be conceived as a SJW by parties using those words
Robette: No, I didn't mean that OP is that, but was wondering if this thread was basically asking for games without content that is now often labeled as SJW in a derogative way, meaning a certain flavor of contemporary liberalism. I don't think the question is clear at all. I could totally see how people have different understandings of what is a christian game, ranging from not playing a character they believe to be morally rotten, to games without violence or sex to games with christian themes (e.g. crusaders) or games without liberal views on homosexuality, etc.
In some terms, DOOM is a christian game about some white beefcake purging demons, but if christian means family entertainment to you, than it is not.
Would Bioware be considered a SJW game developer ( voor de beeldvorming :-) ) since their efforts of trying to be as equal as possible even allowing for same sex relations ?
And for the question, i do understand that the church with its many variations, could have very different opinions on certain aspects of a ( how to lead a ) god fearing life. The OP even demonstrates this with his explanation of how the church encourages its followers to study the life of those deemed worthy as role models to the community.
The OP does highlight some requirements. Namely , Are you a Conservative or Christian Catholic, and the inquiry about which games from a family perspective would be recommended, with said back grounds of and of course the extra requirement of a game you must have finished.
To me this seems like an excellent way of starting a topic aimed at a specific group of people.
Now of course this being the internet and this also being a very open minded forum there will be a lot of questions/additions from people that don't meet the set requirements but do like to tag along for a variety of reasons and you know what. It is more then oke.
Everyone goes through life in certain phases. What does for the kid, maybe will do for the young adult and feels certainly quite wrong for the adult
