I couldn't help noticing how many 'dark' games GOG has been releasing over the last several months, and I can't help asking ... are there going to be any lighter, mario-like games coming in the near future? I'm not trying to rant about the fact that dark games suck (Hollow Knight is one of my favourite games!) ... I'm just hoping to see more light and colourful games to play. I was happy to see GNOG released a few days ago, so I hope this is a trend that will continue in the coming weeks!

Well the original Shantae (Game Boy Color) is missing but the only way to play that these days is via virtual console on N3DS.

Take a look at 'A Hat in Time', could be right up your alley.

Dust is awesome, and while the subject matter is a little dark, the gameplay is great and the game is cartoony and colorful. Now go murder those enemies!!

Thanks for the tip! I think I'm coming close to completing my GOG library in the next few months, which is why I'm hoping to see more fun games added to the GOG catalogue. I was hoping to see Crash on GOG during the PC launch, but sadly it was no where to be found. I hope GOG is able to secure more games like these in the future. I'll check it out! I actually have that game on my wishlist, but I'm hoping it will go on sale soon!

Considering your first post in this thread with the wide sweeping statement about all games from a certain time period, direct attack on the parent company, disdain for drm free, then attack on someone who may or may not have issues typing,I would suggest you take the steam fanboy client (which funnily enough makes me cringe that hard), poke it up a dark hole and then block yourself.
