TLDR: Doom Eternal was patched to include a kernel level anti-cheat made by Denuvo. Looks like a new trend, after that CS-GO/Overwatch clone that seems to have considerable backlash.

It's nice to don't have multiplayer cheating but this is probably a bit over the line in my opinion. It also makes a big precedent!

As Comissary James Gordon asked Batman, what about escalation?

What more do expect to get other than what is op in the original thread? It’s bad, most will accept and even support it. It will only affect actual paying customers.let those who use it suffer for it, no loss. End of story, let’s move on to something interesting, like when wil the dlc for dying light be available.
