Hello everyone,

I have a situation here. I played D OS a while ago, and used a few mods for it.
Now I reinstalled it to make a fresh start, however, the stupid (excuse me) cloud sync is bringing back old mods with him.

Usually, when cloud sync bring back saves or game settings I don' t want, I can go to the game folders in C: and delete them when the game is running, so that when exiting, the sync register the deletion for the next start.
But it don' t work with D OS. When trying to delete anything in documents when the game is running, it says that the files are used by divinity at the moment, but if I close to delete them, they are downloaded again from the cloud as soon as I start the game.

Is that some kind of joke to make people go crazy ? How's that even possible that we don' t have full control on what's stored on our cloud ?

If anybody have encountered a similar situation and have a solution, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you

This made me chuckle.

As for your problem I would try to play the game without Galaxy at all or start a new game (without mods installed) to overwrite the cloud save.
Anyway, https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003905358-How-can-I-remove-saves-from-the-cloud-?product=gog
No idea, but i'll poke my nose in it because no one else has so far.

A choice might be to start with the cloud sync and clear its cache or reset it, if you are able to do so. You lose everything, but it fixes the problem.

The thing about Divinity OS modding, which i'm probably remembering wrong is that a session with mods is a completely different version of the game than a session without. So what is saved is the entire thing like a single, unitary patch.

The trick, if you are able to do this, should be to let it do its thing, deactivate the mods, create a new session without them, save that to the cloud and then try to remove them completely.

If it doesn't work, then you should visit the Larian official forums where there should be more specific support for this issue.

Edit: Someone posted while I was typing. Can you even imagine the odds of that happening?
