I have steam version, so I'm not shafted. You?
I don't see any news about gog users getting the update (a launcher)

No but it's coming, Larian haven't given me reason to doubt them so far but maybe they will some day who knows.

Steam is the larger platform so ofc it's going to be first priority whether i like it or not.

Why would you think non-Steam owners would be shafted? Larian's certainly one developer that's not given any reason to think they'd shaft any of their customer base. I own D:OS2 on GOG and am confident they'll be adding the Definitive Edition to my library soon.

Well, I do have a little update dot for it. There's no changelog though. I don't feel particularly shafted. I'll reinstall it and find out what updated - eventually.
I am playing the definitative version just now. on gog . Looking forward to seeing whats changed
I have it too... updated about an hour ago... Galaxy needs a "More" item addition to choose Definiitive or Classic so you can bypass the launcher... minor nitpick, but they've done it with other games... I know you can go straight into the game folder to do it, but... why not make it easier for people ;)

And to the OP, wow... what a post... at least I can launch my game without it being chained to an Internet connection or a gaming client... do you feel shafted now?

That's mainly due to it coming out tomorrow officially. No one's being 'shafted'.

There is a way to do that I believe by changing one of the Galaxy files. Assuming both versions have a different EXE. If you are interested I can try to see how to do it again.

If you have a link or something, let me know... and yah, there are two EXE's... both the classic version and enhanced versions are in the directory... game folder doubled in size, it seems... fuill install is like 54GB

I think you can do this by looking at mike_cesara guide to for adding external games to Galaxy. It's not exactly the same but he kind of shows how to do it. Basically you have to modify the goggame-#.info file. This part here I believe is the relevant part:

"name" : "multi", //new menu entry
"type" : "FileTask",
"path" : "ioWolfMP.x86_64.exe", //and path to another executable
"workingDir" : "",
"arguments" : "" //optional command line arguments (ie. +set sv_cheats..)

Which should create an additional menu entry to the original one. Change the name to Classic D2 or whatever you want and set the path to the classic exe. However, if this file is updated when the game updates you will have to re-add it until GOG does it officially.

So basically add:

{
"name": "Classic D2",
"path": "Path_to _game.exe",
"type": "FileTask"
},

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/adding_external_games_to_galaxy

PS: I would also suggest using a code editor so it's properly formatted and so you don't mess up. Make a copy of the file first.

Interesting, look at the attached... looks like both those entries are already there but set to hidden, gonna toggle those to false now... thanks for the tip!

Cool please let me know if that works. I don't think many people do know you can do that, comes in handy when modding and needing a different exe like with Fallout or Elder Scrolls.
