By recent, I don't mean old games that were recently released. But games that were created recently. Like say in the last 5 years or so.

I mainly tend to buy older classics on GOG for 2 reasons. 1, there are some great exclusives on older titles. 2, some of the older titles run better as the GOG versions, as GOG has taken care to fix some issues. For newer titles, while I do have plenty on GOG, I mainly buy them on Steam or other platforms due to pricing.


So this begs the question, does GOG have any modern exclusives? I'm genuinely curious. I usually keep to the back half of the timeline for these sales on what to buy, but I'd love to explore the other half. Problem is, most of what I have seen I already own over on Steam.

Probably not, I can't think of anything.

The only game that was exclusive for a short time when it was released here was Project Warlock.

And they probably paid a boatload of cash just for the timed exclusivity of that indie game.

What do exclusives matter? Seriously, we're not some bourgeois boutique selling bespoke cans of Rose Chocolate Crystal Pepsi.

Well. with an exclusive you don't have to worry about the game being suddenly taken off the store, or just left without updates, because the publisher has decided to focus on Steam/Epic versions. Though generally yes, you are right.

Exclusivity to the gog marketplace does not make a ton of sense
