Yeah maybe. But I'm pretty sure they could have tripled that sale price and gotten as many copies sold.

For instance, I would have personally paid that for this game, releasing at GOG finally even after so many years. And that's even with double-dipping from Steam. I think many share this sentiment in this community. Of course as a consumer I want to pay as little as possible, but if they hadn't started of with a ridiculous 3 euro price I would have been willing to dish out 10.

I feel like there is vocal minority of Doom 2016 fans trying to depreciate Eternal which simply overshadowed previous installment in popularity. Just looking at steam, 2016 Doom has slightly better ratings but also much less reviews. So I somewhat doubt that indeed most would disagree.

Gog has to be competitive with the discounts that have occured on Steam. Most people will only double-dip /"instabuy" if the price is low enough. It does suck for gog as they barely make a profit as is, but I suspect they will make more money off the sale price than full price, for this initial release.

Like Xeshra suggested, if you want to support this release specifically, buy extra copies and give them away. Or just buy more gog games in general.

I bought this on Xbox One over 8 years ago for $4.99. I definitely loved it back then, but am not a huge FPS or Doom fan. Glad to see it here though....for about the same price I paid way back when. I was archiving my collection, and thankfully, I haven't made it to the Ds yet. So, no backtracking and re-archiving needed. lol

Problem here. The game is not just on the index because of these symbols but also because of its violence. Even the censored German version has been indexed. They would need to reevaluate and try to get an official USK approval for GOG to sell this to Germans.

Yeah it has a number of flaws, like the insane platforming. Still, some of it is halfway decent.

Finally, this was one game that should've been on GOG years ago!.

They both play pretty good but the music sucks in both games.
