I’ve got a laptop with GeForce 1070, Windows 10 and latest driver (390.77) I’m also using Nvidia’s overlay to display FPS. Problem is that when I launch DOSBox my video driver crashes. Maybe not from the first attempt, but eventually it will. Take a look at this video:

At first, I launch DOSBox with overlay disabled - no events in windows event viewer. Then I turned on fps display and after DOSBox launch errors start happening. At first I got messages that driver blocked smth, but in the end, my driver crashed.

Happens on different drivers, different DOSBox builds.

So if it keeps happening, what should you do?

Have you tried changing DOSBox's video output mode? Some work better than others.

I had to disable fps display in the overlay. Nope, other modes won't fix this.

When I enable other on-screen info, like recording status, it won't affect DOSBox. Only fps display somehow ruins my driver in DOSBox.
