These games need to be on GOG. They are the very essence of games that GOG usually has here but they aren't. I wonder how bad the licensing hell is involving these games and if GOG has inquired about them before? (Or plans to?)

They won't talk about stuff like that but you can be sure they did, I would be extremely surprised if they didn't. And from that you can gather that the licensing hell is probably really bad. But you won't get any official confirmation.

In the meantime you could search for "Dungeon Master: Return to Chaos" which is a freeware game that very faithfully recreates the experience of the original, Chaos strikes back, and I think even DM II. So far no license owner has filed a complaint about it.

Thanks. But at some point I hope GOG gets these titles on here too.

Me too, but it's been years since I've been hoping that. Then again, sometimes they still manage to surprise us after all this time, so who knows.

GOG's German Twitter account posted a picture of the Dungeon Master II: The Legend Of Skullkeep manual:

Is a release of the series imminent?

Good question. I don't speak German so I have no clue what's being said there. But yeah at least it's something. I'd buy the entire series in one swoop on day 1 if it came here.
Good find btw!!!!!

GOG's post just says "What is this?" and contains a picture of a manual. The comments by people below are either just intended to be funny ("A manual") or try to guess which game the manual belongs to.

I'm not 100% sure if it is 1 or 2 but it is indeed the manual of one of the Dungeon Master games. So I guess we will have some more good old games on GOG soon.
The first reply below the picture already guessed Dungeon Master 2 and GOG immediately confirmed it. That others still keep on guessing just shows that they didn't actually pay attention. ;)

Curiously, noone on Twitter has wondered what it could mean, instead.
Let's hope it means these games come to GOG. They need to be here.
