Starfield: Official Teaser Trailer

I like sci-fi and the trailer makes me curious for the final game. But I have a feeling that Bethesda - and especially Todd Howard - could not make something better than Fallout 3 or Oblivion in space which means boring vanilla games that only become interesting when modified to death...

It looks like 16x the detail. I'm certain that's exactly how it will look when it comes out.

Luckily I don't play MMOs...
havent seen it yet
but
DO not PREorder!!!
It's gonna be DRM'ed crap so who cares? I certainly don't.
Will it have over 200 endings, same as Fallout 3?
I don't even dare to mention the level of detail...
Also, radiant quests are the bomb!
low rated

That clip really shows nothing. What is the game like, a FPS like fallout 3 or something like no mans sky?

Anyways, it’s Bethesda, they only release game engines then wait for the community to patch and add all the content, so no hurry on this.
It could be cool if they use procedural generation to create an expansive universe and combine it with high quality handcrafted locations and quests, since Bethesda are quite good at the latter.

Having a few planets with a town and a dungeon each would be the usual, and a totally ProcGen universe like No Man's Sky or Daggerfall usually feels like a whole lot of nothing.

If it's an MMO I don't care though.

And it's not going to be sold here anyway, I don't think, so kind of irrelevant for me.

I don't know but I guess it's another open world game like The Elder Scrolls series. And in this video full of PR - blabla Bethesda claims that Starfield will be the next 'bit hot shit':
Into the Starfield: The Journey Begins

Much better vid, actually shows what it’s about. Skyrim in space. Might be ok
Trailer : (Hollywood Music plays) - "We've come to the beginning of humanity's final journey... What you've found is the key to unlocking... everything..."

Reality : (Enters space-station), "Greetings Citizen! I used to be an astronaut like you until I took a micro-meteorite to the knee...". (Visits space station quartermaster) "Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll!". (Sneaks into space-station pantry and steals a cheese wheel), immediately a "Stop right there criminal scum!" guard spawns behind you and every guard on every space station hundreds of light years away knows what you just did... ;-)

Bethesda STILL hasn't fully fixed Daggerfall! Sometimes I wonder, will they ever?

I've been waiting and holding my breath, but that makes me vomit and pass out.

LOL. I can actually see that. :-D Personally I'll wait until 2071 until the game comes here (should be a decade after Skyrim's 50th Anniversary Edition is due to arrive on GOG in 2061). That'll also give the guy who made DarnifiedUI & SkyUI enough time to create StarfieldUI to make the game actually playable on a PC monitor with a typical 2-3ft view distance...

The world is bad anyway, why improving it?

And this, kids, is how we got extinct.
