An insta-buy would it be anyway. Anyone else feeling the love for EcoQuest(s)?

GameRager: I love both.....the first for it's underwater theme, the second for it's rainforest theme, and both for various aspects like the environmental message & how it's built into the games.

(I even played the cd talkie for the first game.....a shame they didn't give the second game the same treatment)

Kipper: I remember the feeling. I was a kid back then, but it'd be charming to play those gems again. We can only hope.

GameRager: *Spoilers for others reading*GameRager: I loved all the learning built into both games, and both games had very memorable moments.....like when you first befriend the your new aquatic friend in the first game, or when you meet the big bad from the first game and enter his domain, or the intro to the second game(and it's memorable music).

As for bringing them here....they might take awhile if they come here at all, sadly, and that's likely due to rights issues(as they work fine in dosbox when I played them, so getting them to work isn't an issue). For now, you can vote for them in the wishlist(it's in one of the tabs above at the top of the page), and hope for the best.

tomimt: I think it's quite possible that Activision doesn't actually own EcoQuest IP. It always was a smaller, lesser-known IP of Sierra's they tried under their education banner, Discovery. None of the games under that banner are in sale anywhere, not even the Dr Brain series, that was the best-known title in it.

Fender_178: Well both games are now compatible with ScummVM as well.

timppu: I didn't play the second game, but the first game had (and has) great Roland MT-32 music.
