I had to add them back to my library and now I too wonder..... do I have to worry about other games disappearing? I own over 1500 games here..... it would take some time to go over all of my purchases and make sure I other games didn't disappear. Is there any other way to tell? Am I missing other games now too? Does anyone else know of this issue with other games? This was the ONLY place I ever owned Arena and Daggerfall so losing them was upsetting. I played Arena much more than Daggerfall but I was planning on playing Daggerfall more. Just so worried know about whether other games have disappeared from my library. It's very upsetting that such a thing as games you own that are in your library can disappear from your library.... very upsetting.

Download all your games and back them up on external drives, and also make a note of the exact total number of games you have in your GoG library (located at the top of your game library page). If there are future discrepancies with the games in your library, it will be easier to tell (if so) and how many games are affected. Having them backed up will still allow you to access (play) them while the discrepancies are being sorted out...

I seem to vaguely recall some other instance of preorder bonus content going missing, but I can't track it down now. You may have seen multiple posts about Cyberpunk 2077 removals, but those were legitimate (game keys bought from a third-party greymarket site).
Keep a local list and occasionally compare the total there with the total listed under your username at the top of this page. If you use GOG Galaxy, note that the neither the Witcher or Cyberpunk 2077 goodies collections show up there, so if you own them, it's normal for the count to be off by -2 versus the site.

None that I know of - you'll have to do some "legwork".

First things first (because this may cause some confusion for some): when you hover over your account name, you'll get shown the number of games you own.
If you then click on "games", you'll get taken to your shelf, where you might see a different number (IF you have games hidden in your account).

Example: you have 1500 games shown if you hover over your account name, but you only get shown 1478 games when looking at your shelf...that means you have 22 games hidden - which can easily be confirmed.

Simply click on the arrow besides "My Collection (# of games)" to expand the menu.
(you'll get shown "My collection (#), Updated (#), Hidden (#))

If you never bothered to do it, it is a bit of a pain in the ass with so many games, but you'd be well advised to create a spreadsheet with all your (GOG, Steam, UPlay, Origin, etc) games, that you'll have to keep up to date, of course (meaning: with every new purchase, you immediately add that new game to the spreadsheet).

One piece of advice: keep the GOG nomenclature, it makes it easier to compare the lists later.


Oh believe me: if there were games missing from people's accounts, you would notice.
People would create several threads to let you know...like they did with TES: Arena and TES: Daggerfall.

it happen for GOG sometimes for tech reasons... or for purpose. As for goodies - it happen even more often.
Since we are in TES thread - daggerfall_unity_gog-cut manual been removed for everyone. Some lego games have missed bonuses not avaialble anymore... and much more games.

(although ZOOM Platform store have even more missing content for their releases)

Backup everything. At least goodies. Oh, and GOG movies too!

This one if for a reason - unbandled and separatly re-released for free. Although indeed GOG should mentioned it in e-mail with full tech detail.

GOG can't even acknowledge I own Pillars of Eternity because I own the Pillars of Eternity complete edition or whatever. Their backend for game ownership tags needs improvement for sure.

That's a very, very short-sighted and, I dare say dumb, attitude. It's basically the same logic in favor of DRM - companies can use it to restrict access to your game if they want to, but they won't, right?

1. If they weren't free games people would freak out, the media would report on it and GOG would be forced to answer for it.

2. GOG won't exist forever, the games are DRM free because you can backup offline installers, not because you can download them from the website or client.

I mean, what I say. I've asked you (well, not you - StingingVelvet) to state the reason why do you want a game to have offline installer without need of Internet connection to the store.

To make offline backup. With digital signature. Although for game itself i personally prefer 'portable' and most games work almost portable (appdata or documents folders). Only few GOG launcher releases require WinRegisrty (and Galaxy builds). But to make easiest backup - i prefer have GOG's installer's.

GOG cause of DRM-free, DRM-free casue GOG. GOG can be dead, their FCKDRM remain. And if someone interesting in backup GOG things - first thing about goodies and GOG Movies.

Not really sure what you're getting at here. I want that because it's what DRM free means.
