Got a code to use on GOG.com? Enter it below and you will see what it does and what does it give you. Clicking continue will immediately render the code used. Before giving the code to someone else, please click cancel first - otherwise the code will get temporarily locked.
This message you get when trying to connect online with Galaxy is outright idiotic.

FIRST OFF
This message very specifically states that this is where codes from prizes, promotions, discounts, special giveaways, season passes, etc. get entered, and it gives you bonus stuff from galaxy when doing so. Furthermore you're allowed to give any code you have to someone else provided continue has not been clicked yet.

SECONDLY:
There is no OPT OUT option for people who don't have codes. Clicking cancel is supposed to close out the entire screen promotional code message while still allowing continue to be clicked so Galaxy connects online

So unless people have a special code, online is not possible, which means you're forcing people to PAY in order to get online using Galaxy which is your prerogative, but it's an extremely bad idea. It's the exact same thing as saying even though 100 people have plane tickets it's only the people with first class tickets that are allowed to get on the plane. Furthermore yes, I have the option of giving away my first class ticket to someone else, but in doing so now I cannot get on the plane, but they can.

OVERVIEW
GOG GALAXY MESSAGE: Got a code to use on GOG.com?
PERSON 1: Um No I don't..and there is no option to get one sent
PERSON 2: Yes I do but I don't want to use it RIGHT NOW
PERSON 3: I did but I gave it to someone else to use and they used it
PERSON 4: Used the code person 3 gave them

OUTCOME:
PERSON 4 is now the only one who can get online.
PERSON 1, 2, and 3, are screwed
PERSON 1 is just outright screwed a. for not having a code, b. has no way to get a code sent to them.
PERSON 2 is forced to either use the code or not go online.
PERSON 3 doesn't make sense because why would anyone prevent themselves from being able to connect?

This is the dumbest set up I've ever seen.

Not complaining or chastising, but was it absolutely necessary to make two of these?

Well then GOG needs to fix it's forum functions.

When I clicked post the first time, the window completely closed and the topic was nowhere to be found. So I created this one, funny how this one remained, but the other vanished when I clicked post. This has happened numerous times.

I'd post a suggestion regarding this but either the topic will disappear or there will be a bunch of clowns provoking problems and moderators not doing their job to remove those replies/people and it becomes a mess, it happens over and over, and nothing ever changes.

All I can say is that whenever a topic I create vanishes like that after clicking post, I'll just remake it.

Fair enough. That has happened to me before too. I totally understand.

Is it the one titled "Get rid of Galaxy or fix it (Complaint/RANT)" and marked as a question (thus having a yellow/orange icon rather than a green one)?

You know I am aware of what a topic title I created says, thank you

You're missing the point here. That topic doesn't exist anywhere in the General discussions section that I can find, and I've been through the first 5 pages of General discussions there is no topic with that title anywhere

..It literally disappeared once I clicked post. So I have no idea where you pulled it from.

Weird, it was literally the first topic, just below the stickied ones. (Well, second one when I took the image for this reply.)

About you problem with Galaxy, you only need to click in the upper window, where say STORE and LIBRARY. Any one of the two options close the redeem code page.
