Can the hiding of posts because of 'below threshold' be specific to the people who bother downing it, because it's just making the posts a mess and at the very least "one man's meat..", but on a more sensible level, why should my forum experience be dictated by other's who don't hold the same opinions I do

It's not Youtube, people, you don't get points for involving yourself in a popularity campaign.... It may have been a good idea when you thought of it GOG (although that's debatable). but you are dealing with people, you had to have known it would turn to shit.

Wondering why I'm bothering posting this? Have a look at the 'Jerkmuter' thread, and then tell me nothing needs fixed.

(Edit.. Huh, I wonder where this post disappeared to for 12 minutes.)

Go to 'My Settings' at the top of the forum page and there is a tick box to hide negatively rated posts. Untick it and only posts you personally downrate get hidden.
Thanks for the advice, i didn't know that!

Awesome, thank you very much indeed.. see, my disgruntledness is entirely down to my own stupidity, and that I can hadle, it's other peoples that eats my lunch :)
You can remove rep, stars and "high/low"-rated markings on posts.

HowTo:

1. Install Greasemonkey Firefox plugin: https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/
2. Install «Gog no rep» script by Ryzhehvost for Greasemonkey: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/1689-gog-no-rep

2a. Since GOG now works through "https", you'll need to modify this script a little bit:

<Drop-down menu to the right of Greasemonkey icon>: Manage User scripts -> GOG No rep -> Preferences -> Edit This User Script -> (here you should add following line in the beginning section of script, like in attached screenshot):
// @include https://www.gog.com/*

No problem, I doubt many people bother clicking it (not that there is much useful in there, I tend to forget it exists until someone asks a question like this)
