I a big fan of GOG and the policy that you own your games and able to download the install files too. A few years back I slowly started to buy games in GOG instead of Steam. Not much however. I'm still waiting on GOG jumping on the band wagon and get on with full Linux support with games and something like proton (to able to play any windows games under Linux)
- With a Linux gaming community slowly growing
- With full compatible and easy to use Linux like (Ubuntu, Manjaro, Mint, Garuda, Zorin, Fedora.....
- With the new Vulkan Api slowly taking over the gaming market.
- Microsoft aggressive promotion of it's own in house game store, slowly pushing Steam and Gog off it's Windows platform

You must see the writing on the wall. Steam does! Unless you planing to make your own gaming operating system Linux should be a major focus for Gog as well if you want to stay relevant in the future. Where is the focus Gog team?

We been asking Gog team to get on board with Linux for a few years now. I hope to see Gog actually putting a big effort in Linux with the most popular (Arch, Debian Red Hat) based packages.

Looking forward when I can install my Gog Galaxy client under Arch Linux along with my perfectly running Steam client already running butter smooth.

Even though many of us prefer GOG over Steam you still losing so many sales to Steam simply because purchasing Steam games their perfectly capable to run under Linux and Windows regardless which operating system you using at the time with GOG you stuck running games only on Windows. Many of us even if we still dual boot and occasionally log onto Windows will most likely pick to buy the game from the company providing more options. In 2022 for GOG not fully supporting Linux is a huge loss for your company and gain for your competitors.

I don't understand such a great company as GOG promoting freedom with your purchased games and giving power back to the users. How is it that you still only focusing on the ever increasing tyrannical control of the Microsoft Platform instead of promoting freedom like Linux? Microsoft aggressive push to kick off Steam and Gog but really any competitors of their platform in the future to promote the Microsoft store meanwhile Linux welcomes all competition. Why holding onto Microsoft Windows only so hard GOG? Steam also making sure for all their games to run on Windows because most sales still on the Windows platform but their heavily investing in the future, in fact putting more effort into Linux compatibility development over Windows.

Please GOG wake up and start focusing on Linux platform.

You say right things, but it looks like GOG and CDPR are not interested in expanding Linux support. For example, they removed status "in progress" for request of Galaxy Linux version:

Of course, I want it too, but I guess that something big has to happen for it.

I love, how people always forget (or rather ignore) all the money that Microsoft put into Apple (Mac) and Linux over the decades.
There are lots of other threads here that have all the answers and reasoning for you ... all the facts and figures too.

It seems every two weeks someone makes a thread like this.
I really wish GOG would support Linux. It's highly funny that the best place to get Linux support for gaming is Steam right now.
As a Linux user I'd like to see more GOG focus, but I also understand that GOG itself is a niche and it's simply too much to expect their support for a niche OSes. However thanks to offline installers and DRM Free policy I still consider it Linux-friendly. As Steam, indeed, gives more out of the box experience for Linux users, I still feel lack of freedom and ownership there, which causes that I use both GOG and Steam, but I spend my money only here.

There il a lot of non official launcher that install GOG games on Linux and they are made by a few peoples, but an official solution would be better to unlock more things like cloud save or achievements and a good downloader for those who haven't a good internet connection to download 200GB to play a game.
They don't even work on their windows launcher so absolutely won't happen.
Until Linux video games market share hits at least 5% I do not think gog.com will ever fully support Linux.
