I did search, but i didnt see anything. There were plenty of game install location threads, but nothing that helped with galaxy client itself install location.

I grabbed the install off the gog main page at the bottum, and when i ran it, i didnt have any options to pick where it gets installed to. Is there a way to do this? I had it installed on a different drive previously, but that drive died, and i had to install the program again. This time however, like i said.

Does nobody know? Surely someone has some kind of information?
I can only suggest un installing it, then check your registry to see if anything was left over from the install you had from the dead drive. Sometimes when a program isn't removed properly (or completely) the leftover code in the registry could cause errors or conflicts with a new install.

Thank you for trying to help. However wouldnt be the case would it? As the option is simply not there during install, not the option is greyed out, or tries to install it into the missing drive, it actually doesnt exist.

Is the option there for other people? Which version of the program did you install?

I tried Galaxy for the first time after several years (I format every year) and it seem they have have removed the option, and the installer was hidden for some time before I got to the login window.

My advice; don't use it if it bothers you. Use the offline installers instead.

Why?

Mandatory install to program files is bound to make the permission god angry, sooner rather than later (time will tell).
It might be my computer but hiding the installer during install and omit certain user options is a terrible habit.
Galaxy (and it's overlay) is known for causing problems for some older windows games.
I've installed Galaxy from scratch several times and it always asks me where to install it.

I'm using 2.0 beta. If you are downloading from the bottom of the page you are using 1.2 and I don't remember how it is with that one.
