nightcraw1er.488: Sorry, the second release spears to be for an iPad, that immediately screams casual, micro transaction rubbish. Personally if he wants to sell it as a game, I wouldn't include it as it throws big red flags to me.
??????????????????????????????? o_O
Are you drunk?????
Did you even play the original????
It's really not for casuals and having seen one of his twitch dev streams, I can tell you the implemented mechanics of the upcoming game will need a FAQ or a Wiki page :o)
If there's one guy who does it for passion first, it's really him and as a bonus, I'm linking to you a 2013 interview for a retro website (in French):
http://www.ordiretro.fr/2013/08/09/interview-de-thomas-zighem-auteur-de-genesia-et-genesia-heritage/
I'm doing you a quick&dirty translation of this particular paragraph:
"Genesia is not an easy game. Contrary to the gameplay totally pre-made of games of the same type, where it holds your hand and gives you directions every 2 minutes, here there's no tutorial which makes you do this or that to advance further. Personnaly, I don't see any interest to play a game which tells you to click here, there, then buid 2 farms, and cut 30 planks of wood to win. Where is the challenge? Where is the thinking and strategy in all that? The worst are those nowadays games where you must put your hand in your wallet with real money and micro-transactions to bo buy stuff in the game! We are in a world where you can buy your virtual 30 planks of wood for Euros! Yes sir! We live in this world and as a developer, I find that ridiculous"
Oh well, at least, you gave me one more opportunity to bump the thread ^o^
