I've been trying to buy something as a gift on GOG, i'm aware of the three month wait time as I've been digging into the forums for a while and seen a lot of answers which don't actually help to much specifically for me.

Here's my question: I made a purchase about two years ago with this account, so why is my account still restricted now that I've come back to purchase a gift?

Also, can't find outright confirmation or not, but does pay-pal not work for gifting? It works for buying games without gift checked (grabbed a game i've been meaning to buy to test it), but the second I try and gift with pay-pal I get the 'something went wrong' error message.

Any help would be appreciated, as this would be less frustrating if I could just nail down where i'm wrong in this situation.

PayPal should work. Could be a temporary bug. Be sure to put a ticket in with support.

Good to have that confirmed at least. Hopefully this gets solved before the sale ends.
Follow-up though, any ideas for why my account is restricted even with the purchase two years back? Might be a maximum time away thing?

No. I think your account or bank card probably have issues. But support can work it out

The restriction is lifted three months after you spend a minimum $10.
So if you bought Dragon Age: Origins 2 years ago with 75% discount, you're still under restriction.
Assuming the other 3 games that you own, just recently bought.
