To me this isn't a justifiable excuse/reason. When one chooses to participate somewhere, he/she chooses to go by the rules that have been set. I mean, one has time to login and enter the contest at one day, but can't find 5 minutes in 48 hours span, to login again and see if he/she has won? And the OP started the thread a fair 11 days before his birthday, so anyone can see it and participate, as well as make arrangements to his/her schedule to be online, at least for some minutes, on the 24th.

Hello pigulici. I'd like to wish you a happy birthday, and thank you again for this wonderful annual display of generosity on your part. It has become a sort of tradition here, and each time I'm astonished by your munificence.
Please count me in for Descent 3 + Mercenary, even though it's "only" 19,99 €. Well, to be brutally honest, I was really pissed off by the recent doubling in price of such an old game (that's why I used quotation marks), and winning it as a gift could be an acceptable way for me to complete the series. Plus, it's one of the very few games in my wishlist I can picture myself actually playing in the near future (though not exactly right away, I might add) instead of who-knows-when... and I'd feel awkward asking for something more expensive anyway. Well it might sound cheesy, but really it was spotting a male redstart in a courtyard while passing by after hearing its monotonous calls for days before, its reddish underbelly occasionally flashing.
Or finally seeing a goldfinch atop a tree, with its vivid colours. Once in a while one pays a visit in my whereabouts, but until then I had only heard its unmistakable song, among the ubiquitous blackbirds, magpies and crows.
Watching bright yellow serins zipping from tree to tree. Or that time a great tit popped up on the railing of my balcony for a brief stopover.

Earlier this month, there had been an intensely distressing dispute between myself and my landlord. They had made a rather sophomoric effort to re-interpret the lease agreement, claiming that they had mistakenly under-charged me for rent (for the past few months). Thankfully, after I had drafted a direct and stern response meticulously outlining their legal obligations, they had ultimately agreed to abide by the terms of our recent (2025) mutually signed lease renewal. Prior to this resolution, although I had been 100% confident that I had possessed the only valid position conforming to local laws, I had feared that this would eventually necessitate seeking the services of a lawyer, with a protracted series of court appearances soon to follow. I had been so elated that the landlord had sought to avoid such a futile struggle. I consider this to be a 'happy ending'. : )
