Not in, but thanks for the giveaway, mrkgnao! +1

I have to admit, I don't know who the lady is, maybe your daughter?
However, since you're mentioning her, I want to send my congrats! :-)
Cheers

So DeMignon was right.

Not in, thanks (might edit this to enter for someone else; BG is my single favourite game of all time).
Bump.

Where are those people who enter same giveaway that wins me Baldur's Gate??? There were plenty, and yet no one shows up here? Where are you people?
I might be one of them, although I'm not sure we're talking about the same giveaway.

I entered a previous GA before I had considered the possibility of buying a physical copy of the games. Afterwards I bought a DVD copy of BG I & II, installed it in Windows 7... and it worked. (At least it started from an ISO image, which is also my backup copy. I haven't actually played yet, but I'm confident it will work.)

Now, as much as I would love to own IWD I & II in GOG, I don't want to give any money to Beamdog and I feel bad entering GAs and taking chances off more active members of the community, so I'm not in. I guess I'll end up buying another DVD copy of IWD.

So this is quite a useless post :-D, but I hope it partially answers your question, and serves as a hint to you guys still looking for the classic editions that they are actually available in physical format as a last resort.

Good luck everyone!

So many comments and so few takers. xD

Not at all. When I was first joining the forums, for me GA threads were the easiest to engage in. Very little politics, you don't really have to know who's who, you can just comment on someone's generosity and wish others luck.

As you've done.

Making small talk, perhaps, but on topic, and that's how community starts. Just my opinion. [but you got a +1 from me]

It's not a useless post :)
As Bler144 said, giveaway thread is one of easiest place to hold conversation. My most active post is in GA steam edition, and I usually either asking for games, recommending a game, or just small talk. I find it hard to do conversation anywhere but when we are talking about same interest. My successful conversation I had is usually when talking about my favorite games that other people also find it good.

As you see I was hesitating when entering this GA, but I do know that when someone hold a GA, he/she hopes many participants will enter. So I enter in hope other people will follow and we can have a fun Giveaway thread.

BTW, Congrats for the Lady!
And if nothing else, commenting bumps the thread back to the top of the heap :)

Bump.
Happy birthday to MaGog! Can I please be entered for a chance to win Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga or Baldur's Gate 2 Complete? Thanks. I am also entering Edward_Carnby's giveaway for the same games, so in the very unlikely event I win the same game in both giveaways, I'll give the duplicate back to the OP for them to give someone else.
