Piranjade: ...choose a team that we don't have in the league or at least don't have two of. :-)
I'm basically just waiting to see how well my team survives before I make a decision, but if I do change, I'll probably be taking the "we need more variety" approach to a new team. Playing 4 chaos teams will do that to ya.
The Armored Seagulls vs Misfits coming up very soon!

My friend will be streaming the game today, come have a watch on twitch.tv/kaemoflage74 if you'd like. His commentary might be a little interesting, so bear with him, folks. :)

kanarek: GoG Weekly Season 2, Div 2, Match Day 9

Twisted Elves (2, WoodE 0-2-6) vs Anti-Anemia Alliance (16, 5-1-2)
The ancient vampire, Lord of Lard is pretty confident about this match. Some centuries ago he took a certified course in wood elf blood tasting and he is going to use all his knowledge for one perfect sip. Doesn't matter if from cheerleader or from wardancer. Has anyone seen wood elves around? Last time I've checked for them there was only big angry tree sprinting toward the pitch. The best dirt is in the TD zone big boy! Alliance by 1 td and broken nose.
...and the Twisted Elves and AAA-vampires have clashed.

3-1 for the vamps

No necks were twisted, i think i caused two CAS (nothing permanent) on his elves and suffered one CAS from my own bloodlust. Other than that, there were quite few KO's and despite some thrall blood-donations mid-match, i think i had more players on the pitch most of the time.

Elves did the first TD on turn2, after which the vampire coaches Trappist beer started taking effect.

I dont think we had any super cool maneuvering in the match, vamps prooved unable to catch the ball without rerolls, but luckily it didnt turnout worse than that. I pretty much used my vamps higher str + fact i had more block on my team to just bash my team through his formation.

I was kinda anxious about the wardancers - especially of the one with strip ball, but Nuffle was stronger with me in this match :)

I will be uploading the replay to google drive soon.

Expanded thoughts incoming...now.

The Armored Seagulls emerge victorious after a 2-0 victory against the Misfits.

That was one of the most intense games of BB I've ever played, but it was a great way to end the winless streak I've been on over the last month.

Piran played an excellent game that the dice decided to stop a few times when she had some serious momentum on her side. I count this win as a very fortunate one.

Key to making this game go in my favor were two things:

1. A HUGE interception from Anton Krowe that stopped the drive of the Misfits in the first half and turned into a TD for our thrower Valt Tiel.

2. Sweltering Heat. It made things equal in the 2nd half as the game was a 9-on-9 affair with many important Skavens down for the drive. After crunching down in our own zone for a while, a well-placed throw-in gave us new life and an eventual 2nd TD.

Piran's apothecary tried killing one of her Skaven Blitzers, but she had to settle with a -AV injury. Two more injuries done to the Misfits were badly hurt, thus having no longer-term injuries than just the -AV shot.

Two level-ups for the Armored Seagulls resulted in Tiel learning Block and a 2nd stat up for Krowe. Our Blitzer now rocks not just +AG, but +MA as well.

I was very fortunate to get some of the rolls that I did and additionally, I was able to dodge any serious injury for the day.

This is something we fear immensely going into the next week, as The Armored Seagulls continue their gauntlet run by playing the Big and heavy fists.

This should prove to be an interesting game, should we not get pounded into the floor.

Some déjà-vu here? Wasnt there atleast one -av blitzer just recently i think?

This is the third time that particular Blitzrat (meaning they are all namesakes) gets a -1AV CAS.
First time he got -1 AV the Apo offered a different kind of -1 AV instead.
The second time it happened, the Apo offered to kill the player.
And now, the third time, the Apo offered to kill the player again.
I soooo hate my Apo.

And of course I don't have enough gold to replace the Blitzrat right away.

I think you ought to change the name into something else and hope the bad luck goes away with it :)

...I am very much familiar with that feeling when certain player (..and its following replacements) have trouble staying alive. S1 it was with the berserkers and start of this S2 with the vamps.

btw still thinking about Khorne demons? I tried of matches with them earlier on Naggaroth - and vamps not counting, the trickiest team ive come across. Although i like frenzy alot...the amount of it in that team coupled with only average ST and not block is painful. I suppose they could turn out to be great team after you get some block and guard though.

As much as I like Underworld I would like to try something new.
And after all my experience with Underworld I wouldn't mind playing another "underdog" team. :-)
But I'm still not sure yet which team to take. I'll see what teams are taken next season and will then make up my mind.
Amazon has the Chaos Edition for 7.50$ for the Steam conversion rate haters like myself.
The match between Talking Dead and Red Lantern just finished. It was a bloody affair. 6 Casualties on his side (2 dead) and 3 on my side. It ended in a surprising 3-0 for the dwarfs. I have never scored more than 2 TDs with the dwarfs until now.

The first half was partly bloody with some nice plays in between for 2-0. Apo saved one of my players from a permanent injury. To bad I did not have another apothecary for when my +1MA Troll Slayer got fouled on the second half. He lost 1 AV :((. From then on it was gloves off and fouling until I got one of his players to also lose 1 AV.

The match between the Chaos teams MooMooCows and Rioting Punks ended 2-0 for the cows.

It wasn't a very spectacular match and the players on the field treated eachother with fairness and respect.

That is to say they bashed eachothers heads in until there was no tomorrow!

In the end however the Cows kept their upper hand mainly due to the rookie status of the Punks. But if they keep working at it, amassing some funds and having the players gain more experience on the pitch they might become a force to be reckoned with in the comming seasons!

Good game, WereCrow :D

While my team is a bit rookie overall that did not stop them from getting a knock out or two along with my not-so-careful use of the Wizard to leave the MooCows with a somewhat lasting memory in the form of a Fractured Arm. Also, I have to say their Minotaur was a wonderful punching bag for my team looking to score some SP.

While my dice rolls weren't too horrible this match, they still went down the toilet where things mattered... such as picking up the ball and passing it.

Finally, one of my players FINALLY has a skill other than Horns so that's always a plus.

DodoGeo and I to play shortly,

twitch.tv/rcthedigitalhero

Come and hang out and listen to some OCRemix with us :D
TL; DR: 2 - 1 Lizards get the win!

'Twas a tough game with tons of smacking, but only 2 casualties total all game. Both me. Nothing serious, though Dodo DID try to kill Barry Razzle Dazzle, but luckily my apothecary was there to save the day.

First half I kicked and I held him to a stalemate, somehow. Tons of side step pestering or skinks just flat out getting in the way.

Second half, I scored twice in... 4 turns I think? 4 or 5 at least. He used the remaining time to get his td.

No harm really came to me this game, and I only got one level up, but it's a doozy.

Now I'm being told to get Sprint on Barry but I also am thinking Catch or Side Step. Any Thoughts?

Post Game Roster Change: Phantom Zero, the reserve skink, has come up missing. Nobody has any clue where he has gone, and Blood Bowl league officials have declared him "MIA and presumed dead".

Also, in a surprise move, the Pink Lizards have already moved on and hired Miss Athena Lillypants, coming all the way from Ontario, Canada! More news at 11!
