Here is the replay from the match of Zeta and me: http://wikisend.com/download/239290/Weekly_S2_D2_R12_Zeta-Quälix.db

Very exciting, won't spoiler ^^
So, expanded thoughts incoming now.

Nuffle really had it out for me after pulling together 3 rather large wins against Piran, Ghiro and Hanno.

The team really wasn't able to stand up today, as NoHit kept getting all of the smacks and either stunning or KOing my guys today. 2 injuries today, one badly hurt and an MNG, which now keeps my Ogre out of action against the Nagarythe Decadence next week. It could've been worse, as it was Dead, but the apo did a serviceable job in saving him.

Any time we managed to get our hands on the ball, we could drive it pretty deep but we were unable to close out the deal, losing the ball. I know we had to drive ourself out of position a lot to make things happen, but contrary to his name, NoHit got all of the hits today. So many stuns and KOs, and those Werewolves were nuisances today. At least we took one of them out, which managed to give Warner Tuccan his next level. Now he has the ability to Tackle, which could come in handy against those Dark Elves next week.

This loss was a crusher and now making the playoffs looks fairly bleak. Disappointing. But I will say the unexpected resilience of the humans have at least vaulted their odds for returning considerably higher.

Psyringe: Ouch. :( That's probably the most bitter result I've seen here so far, considering the circumstance.

*sends some wardancers over to try and comfort your players*
Many of the Seagulls enjoyed their company, but they still couldn't help but feel depressed after a likely season-ending loss.

"The guys were just bummed they couldn't clutch out the game. Lotta unfulfilled promise in that one, and losing Gary really was a morale crusher for today," said Thrower Valt Tiel. "We're hoping we can win next week for him against the Dark Elves."

Definitely not the worst way to handle it, I think. ;)

Well, BB can be kinda emotional game..

Anyways i think it will blow away and I have hope those involved can shake hands, forget about it and just move on to play more BB.

Just a general tip for everyone - usable in RL as well:

"When in doubt, sleep. If you cant sleep, then go run until you feel like sleeping".

chaos_panda: Replay: http://wikisend.com/download/248782/weekly_s2_d1_r12_mafaik-chaospanda.db

I have a question:

I now have a lineman with block and +1ag and 7av. Do I keep him or should I buy a new one lowering my own TV?
I think you should keep it, it can act now as a substitute ball handler in case of emergency, and with agi 4, you can risk a few dodges.

chaos_panda: I thought it would be great on a lineman after I talked about it with more experienced players. But now I know I need to do more dodging with him. I definitely did that not enough the last games. :(
Tip: Dodge with PURPOSE. Always, always dodge only when he will do more things in a different location.

aka: dodge to give +1 to assist. Dodge to tie up two players instead of one. (yes, this means that he'll be 2 dice blocked later), dodge to set up tackle zones.

also: just checked and huh, a replay was still saved. Still worth a look, while it was disasterous in real life, the game itself had quite a tension to it.
Would have so totally stopped the turn 8 touchdown, if I didn't roll a 1. A must watch for all aspiring elven players.

The famous "if's" and "but's" - man i so love this aspect of BB. you never know till the end :)

Somehow, after suffering four deaths in 11 matches, my wood elves insist that "getting away from that big ugly guy who can throw a 2-dice block at me next turn" constitutes a valid purpose in itself. ;)

As a little sidenote doing single dice block with player that has block - has the same chance to fail and cause turnover (red skull) as dodge with ag4.

Doing single dice block without block has the same chance to cause turnover as dodging with AG3.

Pretty obvious really, but not so obvious mid-match..

*Shares some Popcorn* Although I guess the mainpart of the drama has already been resolved.

To give you guys my two cents, I was all like WUAAAHt When I saw Rod dropping. Honestly I though he was a cool guy and all and such a reaction is just...well not really professional.

I am having a tough time this season and I often felt just like alt+f4 out of yet another terrible game and then quitting the league, but that would just be the douchiest move imaginable. And hey I don't wanna be a douche so I keep on trucking.

I like how you handled it ippo and I think you are a great admin. Also hope this will be the first and only situation of such a magnitutde for this league. But I guess pitting two of the best teams of the divison against another was bound to yield some ugly results. Just thought it would happen more on the BB pitch and not on a personal level...
Btw, completely unrelated question - do the Steam achievements for the Chaos Edition work for anyone? They still show all up as locked for me, and I guess I should have at least met the requirements for one or two?

Not that I really care about achievements, but I'm curious why they don't seem to work. One more of Cyanides little surprises that they like to hide inside their games? ;)

I got one achievement: Aspiring Thrower ...

I noticed that a quarter of them unlocked right after I played a match in the open access league, So I guess they don't trigger if you only play private leagues.

Hmm, interesting. You get an achievement for a single completed pass ... Amy Pond, my wardancer who somehow managed to complete 8 passes this season, is pouting now. ;)

Ah, that would explain it! Amy, did you hear that? Amy? Amy, I don't really think there's a need to send this letter bomb to Cyanide ... Amy! Stop!!
