Piranjade: Nagarythe Decadence (Dark Elves) vs. Hamburg Hammerfists (Dwarves) will start any minute now.
Ok this was a hell of a match. In the first half I desperately tried to hold the ball while all arround me the elves swarmed and attacked. At the end of turn 8 I made the last move available for me to get the touchdown: Pick up the ball with a sure hands runner, turn it over to a agi2 blocker, move, dodge one time and make 2 GFI for a TD. It was just desperate, and like most desperate moves it worked, without even using a reroll.
The second half was a desperate *hunt all possible catchers* on my side, while one brave lineman slowly moved to get a little pressure on the agi 6 ball carrier. In the end I managed to *force* E_A to try the pass and behold, Zam Rockhead intercepted it. So despite the fact that you can not completely hinder a team like this darkelve team played by such a strong player like E_A from scoring with actions where the statistics say they typically work, you can still try and sometimes you intercept with a rolled 6 (or 5, not sure, but I believe I needed a 6).
From there on it was a "zam has the beer barrel, all protect him" kind of playstyle, again desperately trying to hold the ball while the elves swarmed out and attacked the cage from all sides. But in the end, with a slight luck advantage on my side, I managed to hold on to the ball and won 1-0.
On a sidenote we both failed at peculiaritiesof the game. E_A did not see that the kick-off action where he actually can freely reorganize his defence, also results in a random player distribution to begin with. No idea why it is implemented that way, but it is. So in the end AV7 players stood at the line of scrimage and his assasin was badly hurt right from the start.
I on the other side did completely waste my Wizard. I just clicked on the fireball to see how many squares it attacks and after that waited for the "use-the-wizard"-Clock to reach zero, sure that I could not accidently use the fireball afterwards but...of course you can use it even when the turn of the opponent started already and I wasted it on an empty area of the field by trying to get my "normal" mouse back.
