I have unsubscribed from all three categories (releases, promos, wishlists) and yet I still keep getting annoying emails about deals.

The alerts often arrive in the dead of night and disrupt my sleep :(
(I have to keep the volume on my phone and check each time since in my situation I am on expecting genuinely urgent messages from a different time-zone).

Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

When did you unsubscribe? It may take a couple of days for the unsubscription to take effect, as GOG's mail queue is rather long.
Just wait.

Kind of. I removed Master of Orion from the wishlist because I kept getting annoying "is on sale" mails because its non-talk-worthy 5% discount on it. I'm not sure anymore if its a month or longer but I do keep getting the mails or at least deleted another one about a week ago.

Double annoying since I have a few other titles still on the list that might get a genuine discount at some point in the future.

Subscription/Store notification system needs some improvements. For example, I guess some members receive notifications very late. Is it based on local settings of their accounts? A GMT-based system works fine for all users imo.

It totally need that. But why it is and how it get fixed no glue. Last time I dabbled into webdesign was easily more than 15y ago and can be reduced to "I know I did something with HTML in wordpad" :P

I unsubscribed over a week ago, and I still get emails too.
Here's a suggestion:

Try changing the e-mail on your gog.com account to one that doesn't trigger alerts on your phone. That should at least prevent the e-mails from triggering alerts.

Then, only use the alert triggering e-mail address for things that you need to be alerted to *right now* when it happens, and use the other e-mail for things that definitely aren't that urgent.

It's worth noting that I generally see e-mails as not something that would trigger an alert; in this way,
e-mails are definitely different from phone calls. Hence, I don't see an issue with sending somebody an e-mail in the middle of the night (though I won't necessarily expect a reply), while a phone call in the middle of the night might not be a good idea unless it's an emergency.
Well if it makes you feel any better I'm supposed to be subscribed but I don't get any e-mails.... not sure I even get receipts ...
Well, 4 years late, but GOG started spamming me recently. I uncheck categories, and then they are checked again magically. I guess anytime you buy something on GOG, they reset the settings. Nice practice from such a nice company.

Did you claim the free games lately?
Because they automatically enabled notifications, if you did.
But there's good news, too: you can simply deactivate these notifications again.

No magic involved!
.
Thank you, that seems to have been it, as I haven't had that issue since last month!
