My logitech joystick isn't connecting to my laptop any more. This is apparently a common problem so I'm looking for replacement recommendations.

A common problem? Please elaborate. I hope Windows 10 hasn't dropped DirectInput support or anything?

I suggest trying to get your joystick to work unless it is really broken. USB ports have a bad habit of breaking; did you try moving the joystick to another port?

When you say Joystick, do you mean gamepad, fight stick, or flight stick?

Its a logitech extreme 3d pro. I looked it up online to see if I could find a fix and found several posts in various forums about similar problems with this model of joystick after some windows update but none of the suggested fixes I've located have worked. And I tried swapping ports with my gamepad, which still works, but it didn't make a difference.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I've been exhausted the last couple of days.

Edit: And I want a flight stick not a second gamepad. Sorry for any confusion.

if you are not into spending money on thrustmasters than get one of the newer versions of the Logitech flight sticks. it's rare to see companies make sticks anymore besides the two major brand guys on the street. I know there are a few others but heard bad things like overtime wear is horrible on them. I use Logitech and never been happier when playing flight sim x

The Logitech stick posted here is what I use and its been alive for 4 years and never had driver issues with all these new windows 10 updates even the new 1903 one that just came out.
