I need a new monitor. I had a decent 1440x1050 lcd monitor for the longest time, but that had recently died on me. I have an emergency spare with a terrible resolution (1024x768) that causes problems with a few games, such as Stardew Valley.

Does anybody have some decent recommendations for a monitor? It just has to be bigger than 15'', do a minimum of 1366x768, and preferably less than $150. VGA/DVI/HDMI all work.

Size / budget / resolution / connectivity options?
Yeah, what do you consider 'cheap'?

On a side note, I just had a monitor die on me tonight and ordered This One as a replacement. NCIX has a US site. I'd highly recommend checking them out. They often have good deals, and I've bought a crapton of parts from them with no issues with them as a company. Great service.

I was more interested in seeing what people would suggest without those parameters. But added some context anyway. :)

Then definitely check out The One I Bought. It's $130 USD with a further 20 dollar rebate. Probably a decent deal. If that doesn't interest you, do check out their site for other deals.

Asus makes reliable and affordable monitors.  Most of the Asus monitors are currently on sell at newegg.  Here are the ones under $150 that come with D-Sub, DVI and HDMI ports.  All of them are full HD:

Almost all monitors that come with HDMI ports are Full HD.  At this resolution, a 23" monitor is more comfortable for the eyes.  Do you really need HDMI?  Smaller monitors are cheaper, but it's hard to find a decent one with HDMI, D-Sub and DVI.

Probably a smidge above your budget, but try looking into a QNIX 2710.

It's not only a nice 27" 1440p IPS panel for a very good price, but it also has ridiculous headroom for refresh overclock. Consensus seems to be at least 96Hz, and many go all the way up to 120Hz.
