I'm looking for new local co-op games to play with two other players, on PC, Xbox or Wii(U), ideally with controller, but it seems there aren't all that many to choose from, not even on console, and there are three additional difficulties in finding one:
1. We've already played all the top choices like:
- Castle Crashers
- Rayman Origins/Legends
- Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
- Dungeon Defenders
- the Worms games
- Yoshi's Woolly World
- NintendoLand
- Wii Party (U)
- Mario Kart (Wii or 8)
- some other Mario games for Wii
- some Pikmin game, I think (but that was without me)
- Rayman Raving Rabbids
- The Cave
- Trine 2
2. The third player is a bit picky and prefers funny games; she doesn't really enjoy sports, beat 'em ups, shooters, RPGs etc., especially not if they're just dark, gory or difficult, without any funny elements (so no Gauntlet, Mortal Combat, Pro Evolution Soccer etc.). She prefers co-op over competitive games as well. Magicka was alright for a bit, but a bit too complicated. She likes Stardew Valley but that one is still lacking the couch co-op feature so far.
3. With a lot of games that are listed as couch co-op games, it turns out that they are just partially so, featuring limited modes or mini games for local multiplayer which might be good for 5 minutes of fun, but the main game is just for one or two players at max ...
Any recommendations for true 3-player couch co-op games (that aren't that dark and serious)?
