That goes without saying. Any level of hatred aimed towards someone's sex and sexual orientation will be met with swift moderation. Hope that clears it up!

The topic had seemingly run its course and was becoming a place where people were simply arguing within. As you can imagine, this isn't exactly relevant or good for the forums. With that in mind, it was deleted.

But God forbid if someone suggests this that 9 times out of 10 they are told by other forum members to "quit crying" about rep as the person offering the suggestion gets downvoted to oblivion. That minus button is the root of most of the forum problems. The irony is that the same people who downrep posts use the low rep they caused as an excuse to justify it, thus creating a viscous circle. I've seen a lot of forum management advice that warns a new forum not to include any form of downrepping as forums that have downvotes or dislikes are much more contentious than those who without it.
Noted, i will feed this through to the relevant sources along with the likes of the spoiler tag suggestion.

Usually threads like that one are locked, which seems less confusing.
The reason for the delete rather than a lock then delete was purely down to this very thread.

In the future, if a multiple page thread is heading towards deletion, it will be locked and a reason stated. Then it will be deleted. As for today, given the content of this thread, I feel like the reason for the deletion is quite clear :)

Hope this clears things up!

I've taken note of all the feedback given so far, including views on the rep system, up/down votes and how the deletion process of threads will be going forward. All quality of life feedback has also been noted and I will do my part in passing that on.

On a personal note, thank you for the welcomes and keeping things civil. This is all the first few steps towards making this place better for us all.

bhrigu: I don't know what would fall within your field of work, but those This week on GOG videos and Enigmatic Hints are something I would like to have again. I was not on GOG when those were a feature of the GOG community, so I miss them even more.
Apart from that keep the forum secure and bug-free. I am not that interested in eye candy so the current theme suits me well.

I have a passion for older titles, forgotten gems and cult classics, which led me to GOG.com in the first place! Aside from video games, I have a soft spot for trashy horror and action films no one ever rented at the VHS store.
