Hopefully at least, they'll be remastered and come to GOG Galaxy and Steam with achievements and all!
Has anyone else heard/read something about the first 2 games (also London 1969)

Already had them before they were removed from Steam. I wouldn't get too excited about remasters or achievements or even for them coming here though. It's more likely that Rockstar is gearing up to re-release them and use it to further pimp out their own launcher.

In GTA (1) section.

Find the thread that mentions "GOG" but isn't GOG.

Inside there, a single person did some work on GTA 1, compiled everything in one place, added soundtracks/maps, created a custom launcher and added great compatibility with DosBox. This is even better than Rockstars Classics version of the game and has both Londons, which the latter is incompatible with.

Then locate the GTA 2 online somewhere, in zip, from the original rockstar classics release.

You need nothing else and those, especially the 1st one, are already the greatest remasters possible, in all of existence.

When we can buy the game, or we going to need to subscribe to the Playstation site and pay online for it?

Ye. This thread is okay and both Valve and Rockstar, left it in peace. Especially since Rockstar doesn't sell the first 2 gtas anymore and it already gave them out for free, at one point.

Still, moderators round these parts, modded out my thread with link and description sometime ago. What has the world come to, i wonder...

This is the best of the best package. As the author says, au la GOG. If GOG was capable enough to secure the rights to this game and work on it, the end result would have been something like Max's gem, right there. I already have it and works like a charm though, so you can sink in fearlessly.

I'm using this thread as a guide if i'll play GTA in the future possibly.

But does anyone have a PS3? I don't see any other news on the Internet about that PS3 rerelease. Can anyone see it on their store?

There has been no release yet. All that occured is a listing on the PEGI website. Whether anything will manifest from it remains to be seen (and no, don't be fooled by the supposed released date of April 30th, cause it's likely a placeholder).

I think that these games will NOT be released on Ps3... there was also a rate of GTAIII but without a release

I didn't see any listing for a Remastered GTA1/2. Interestingly, they're not even offered as PS One Classics. Pretty much all the other GTA games are there.
