I got a new computer last week, a HP Pavilion Ryzen5 which replaces the 8 1/2 year old HP Envy that I've played your games on since 2014. Got a lot of saved games and I want to start all over again, start fresh with no saved games. The first thing I put on this new computer was GOG Galaxy and then downloaded Heroes Of Might & Magic 2, and found that all the saved games of HOMM2 of the last several years showed up on my new computer. How do I get rid of them all?? I did a search of my new computer for "adwe1aa" which is a saved game of HOMM2 "Dragon Wars Easy" and got no results. HOMM2 is a 31 year old game that I'd much rather play than anything current on the internet.

Galaxy has restored your old saved games that it backed up in the cloud. If you don't want that to happen you can turn off the cloud save feature in Galaxy.

If you just want to delete the saves from that game start the game through Galaxy, delete all saved games inside the game and end the game. Galaxy should then sync your new state (all saves deleted) to the cloud and the old saves will disappear.

Thanks, there's no way to delete saved games within the game. Before the cloud, to delete saved games I'd just delete them from the folder on my computer that held them. But they're not stored on my computer anymore. Same with all the D&D games, saved games for all those were on my computer and were easy to delete when they were stored on my computer.

Just uninstall galaxy, saves disk space, and then you can manage the saves yourself, fully under your control, back them up, chop and change them etc, FTW!

Well, you can of course also switch the game to the background with Alt-Tab and delete the files manually. The trick is to run the game through Galaxy and make sure the files are gone before ending the game so that Galaxy syncs the files (or rather the lack of files) to the cloud.
