I'm in! Thx for the chance, solseb!
It's very, very probable, that I have blessed you with a +1 for hosting yet another generous giveaway with an interesting topic, but I guess you'll never know for certain because my name is not revealed. LOL! ;)
I swing both ways on this issue, but I will admit that I've grown accustomed to the current anonymous rating system. It allows my imagination to run wild! xD When I see a post of mine lit with "high rated", my mind conjures up many silly scenarios. Maybe the entire staff at GOG have given me a +1? Perhaps there's a moderator in the midst of all that praise? Maybe it's fifty people or maybe it's just four? What if it's the same secret admirers every single time, no matter what I post? Maybe there's never a vote from any of my friends but only from people I never heard of before? Perhaps they're all bots and if their names were revealed, it will be a series of funny bot names? The unknown entertains me. :P
But, for those who really wish that the rating system was completely transparent, it would be convenient, I guess, to have an off/on toggle setting within our Account Management panel, that would allow users to choose whether they can see or hide the names behind those high ratings. In such a scenario, the names would only be visible to the user and not the public, should that setting be toggled on. Perhaps this might be a useful feature?
