It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Timboli: JDownloader isn't bad, but it is hungry on resources. Been a while since I last used it, and never for GOG downloads.

What I recommend, is Free Download Manager 5, which can be used with a browser plugin to download GOG game files (Offline Installers and Extras). I think there is now also FDM 6, but I haven't yet used that.
What kind of resources? They release updates for it practically daily. There are tons of features and plugins, in fact, there is a browser plugin that automatically solves some captcha, which is good.

I used Free Download Manager many years ago and they didn't meet my expectations in general, I don't remember it having a plugin for hosts, what some call an API or something like that. If JDownloader had a plugin for GOG, it would be perfect for me.

Resources like memory usage and things running in the background.
Yep, it has some good plugins or did last I used it, which was mostly for 'certain' types of downloads. It was good for that. ;)

Not knowing what version you used, I can't really comment. I've only used version 5. I guess it can be seen as a little bare bones in comparison to some other downloaders, especially JDownloader. But I find it does its basic job well. While I used to use the browser plugin for it, and click on every game file download link, queuing them up in FDM5, I've since been able to automate it via its very limited command-line capability. But of course, that last only works if you are using it with curl, and a third party GOG API program like gogcli or gogrepo.py, for which scripting is required.

Lol... so it's explained why he's so good on your side... You know, I'm not a very smart person to use those command line things you mentioned.

Not really, if you are just comparing FDM5 with JDownloader.

Me using a script to automate FDM5 is a relatively new thing. Before that I was having to click on every download link, and that would have been the same whether I used FDM5 or JDownloader, if it could be coaxed to work with GOG's browser links.

It's good to know these things... I'll try one of these days to download some games from my library.
Thanks for all the information mate! =)
