Didn't even realize it was possible, just remember losing an account once because I wasn't able to provide ID that corresponded with the fake name I used to create it despite knowing exactly what the name was.

When I joined to play StarCraft 2 I screwed up my name. I went to change it and they had this notice: "You have one free name change remaining. After that, an additional charge will be applied."

They had evidently put that one freebie in just a week before I joined because of all the complaining.

Just for reference, if you do change your username, some things will break on the website. Biggest item I believe is public viewing of your wishlist if that matters to you.

Chat also gets messed up, unless they've fixed that. Friends list too...
