It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

is it outdated already?
IE 11 seems to have more and more issues on many sites, including GOG.com. I stopped using it several months ago because of that. EDGE (on Windows 10) seems fine though.

Install e.g. Firefox or Chrome and use it. Google for them.

Yes. Microsoft itself has changed to Edge. But I really recommend you use some other browser. Firefox, Chrome, whatever. That will give you improved security, speed and reliability. And customizability (is that even a word?) And probably getting free games will work better too.

Don't choose Explorer!

Here at the office I;m working at today, they're getting the Edge advert every time they fire up IE. They asked me to fix that. They're locked in to IE because of one of the softwares they use is locked in to it.
I think there is no Edge for Windows 7 so presumably IE will be killed the day support for W7 ends.

Looks like you can do it in a VM:

OK but why do it when you can use a plethora of other browsers that work without tricks?

- Testing websites?

- Cuz you're a geek and you have to do it because it's there?

- So you can write an article for some website and meet a quota they enforce?

Oh yes, those are valid reasons but for the common user those are not that relevant.
