I have a gaming PC that will play any game but I have bought games from GOG that don't work...many games. I have done the troubleshooting, uninstalled and re-installed and every other thing I can think of to make them work. Not happy with GOG, these games should be certified before GOG sells them. Very poor business.

But rather than trying to scam GOG like your local brick and mortar store for free games, why not tell us what games aren't working, and we'll put heads together to figure out wot's wot?

I'm not scamming, I just want to play the games i've bought. The Witcher enhanced edition, Hogs of war, Summoner, betrayal in Antara just to name a few.

Are you using Win10? I ask this because most of the games you mentioned don't work on Windows 10.

Yeah i'm using win10, but i've also configured the games to run under different windows aswell. no joy. working.

The game page for "Hogs of War", for instance, states that the game will only work on: "Windows (XP, Vista, 7)".
So in that case GOG staff will not guarantee the game to work on W10 OS.

I suggest you contact GOG support and ask for a refund on those games.

As for "Witcher 1" the game is supposed to work on W10, so you should also contact support and demand their assistance.

PC gaming will always require a lot of tweaking and issues to solve, it's just the nature of the beast. Though I will say I haven't had a GOG release cause me problems in a loooooong time. I remember Zork Grand Inquisitor being the last one, and that was many years ago.

I have almost 200 games on GOG and all of them work on my Win 10 machine out of the box, even the ones that supposedly don't.

I completed The Witcher 1 a few months ago.

Maybe you don't have some drivers required by some games? I don't know your situation, but based solely on my personal experience, I'm guessing there's something missing on your end, maybe?
