Why was my post about FF2 "low rated"? Why am I being punished for contributing to the topic?

Final Fantasy 5, many things over the years:

Equipping 2-handed or Barehanded will increase your strength. (This is very useful to give a Blue Mage a good physical attack, and 2-handed allows the classes that can use it (including some spellcasting classes like White Mage) a very good physical attack in parts of the game where it tends to be weak.)

Transfusion (Blue Magic) restores all MP to the target, even if it's the same as the caster (though the caster will still be dead.)

!Revive and the Phoenix summon restore all MP to the revived target(s).

Dragon's Kiss makes the target immune to gravity attacks and instant death attacks that don't check Death or Stone immunity.

Using !Dualcast and !Mix in the same battle will cause !Dualcast to misbehave. Having your whole party Hide will trigger an escape if possible; otherwise, if the enemy tries to use a physical attack, the game will start behaving oddly; using !Mix afterwords could easily crash the game. Fortunately, the GBA version fixes the bugs in this paragraph (though having everyone !Hide still counts as escaping from battle).
In Thief you can drop items on the ground in front of you. I assumed I could only throw them using the button I picked them up with, which would make all sorts of noise whenever I picked up a goblet I though was valuable, and then threw it away when I discovered it was not. The discovery of the drop button also made laying mines a lot easier.
Yeah, I have one of those stories. I played through all of Chaser without knowing it had a "bullet time" mode. I only found out about it much later when watching Inside Gaming's playthrough. Talk about making life hard on oneself... =|

doctorsinister: In fps multiplayer games, if you have a female on your team who is being given privileged treatment because her gender and you are the only guy on your team that ignores her or makes fun of her they she will grow to like you. And the guys who are bending over backwards accommodating all her needs get the shaft and friendzone.
Yeah, that doesn't sound very different from real life...

zeogold: When fighting Bald Bull in the original Punch-Out!!, you can know exactly when to counter his bull charge by watching for a small camera flash in the audience.
Really? Innnnnterestinnnnng.....
Remembered another one: you can drag-select up to 4 units in the first Warcraft game, but you have to press and hold Ctrl. Duration of ignorance : little over 2 decades :P
I played Pizza tycoon for quite a while before I realized you actually have to have a manual/recipe book handy to unlock some of the "official" pizza designs. Without them, you have a sizeable handicap compared to your rivals. Also, the fact that you could go to a weapon shop and get arrested for trying to buy some weapons just completely short-circuited my poor teenage mind. (you have to ask for ice cream. get it?)

This one I knew about! It was fun watching your 4 units trudge across the map for an hour!
