A simple question for someone who is a regular here.

There's some games on special that I want to buy. Is there a time limit by when games have to be downloaded? I don't want to blow out my monthly data download allowance by downloading to many over a short period. .

Thanks.

No worries, once you buy the game it's going to be tied to your account and you can download them at any time from inside your library, even once the special is done.

The only time-limited thing are the prices for the games, obviously. Those will go up once the sale is over, but you knew that already.
There's no time limit on downloading purchases.

If you want to just see how the service works, you could try some of the free games; these work exactly like the games you pay for (including adding them to your cart and checking out), except that the payment step is skipped.

Then, if you like what you see, you can start purchasing games here. As I said, there's no tlme limit on downloads; the games you get are on your account forever (or at least as long as GOG is still around).

(Another nice thing: Once you download the installer, you don't need to be connected to GOG to install or play the game; it even works on computers that are entirely offline; this also means that, once downloaded, the games won't eat up any more of your data unless you explicitly play multiplayer.)

Any more questions?
Once you buy the games they are yours, no time limit on when you can download them.

Most games are chunked into BIN files.. like Chernobylite, its the biggest game i have from GOG its got a ton of chunks. each one around 3GB each so you can plan to grab a few or a lot.

GOG is really cool about everything.
