Oh come on... :) This is all grade 3 or 4 mathematics at best. :)

hahaha i'm kidding but seriously, i hate math. my brain just sees it and goes, "No." and the gog forums are a happy place and that sentence made it a sad one :) hahaha
Notice that that GOG cleverly said it was -50% rather than -50.0%.

-10.09 being 50% off from 19.99 is still technically correct.

edit:oops, skeletonbow beat me to it.

For better or worse, I'm a big scary math lover ever since I was a kid. hehehe :)
Also you have to Calculate X,Y,Z currency as well Not easy plus they Do NOT update their prices every hour so I choose to buy in US currency to avoid Rip offs and such!

how does USD$11.99 = AUD$15.89 when it only equals $15.80

That's crazy!

Milking it much?

Breja: WISHBONE SMASH PUNY MATH FAILURE!

Wishbone: Hey, my avatar may be green, but...
I read it more as Minsc than the Hulk... :D
avatar
ZFR: That's because there are 3 types of GOG employees: those who are good at maths and those who are not.
Is that something like, "There's 10 people who understand binary"?...
avatar
skeletonbow: Exploring this mathematically...
Is your name Cliff Clavin? I like math too, but 3 significant digits after the decimal instead of the massively overkill 32 would have be enough...

It's simple math punched into the Windows calculator and cut and pasted into the conversation, I didn't figure it out on paper with a pencil and type it all in to that many decimal places. Just be happy I wasn't using a higher precision gearhead calculator or something. LOL

skeletonbow: Rounding each of those off to two decimal places equals: 0.50 or 50%, and 0.75 or 75%, so as decimal fractions to two places or as integer percentages, the values 50% and 75% are at least mathematically accurate.
Now do it with fractions :-D

Ok, the two sale items referred to above are discounted to 1/2 off and 3/4 off respectively. :)

Update: Don't encourage me! It may cause me to provide values in IEEE floating point formats also! ;oP

I know, that was kind of my point. If X < 20 = True (which is the case), then (X / 2) > 10 = True cannot also be the case. Yet according to GOG, it is ;-)
