MrElixer: There's nothing in this document that will help you if you're trying to make games.

idbeholdME: Correct. There is not because.... that was not the intent of it? Don't know what to tell you.

Whether or not it's "HS" as you say is up to everyone to decide.
Who cares? Has nothing to do with the question "Is game making hard?"

OP Start here to see if game making is hard:

ASHLIIN: I've run into a new game engine Redot recently and wondered how hard to start making games.

Does anybody have experience and can share what I should expect?
You should expect it to be hard, while also perhaps very enjoyable ... it depends.

Various software are available to make it easier, but the all important aspect, is a good idea. And it will vary of course, depending on what type of game you want to make, and some are far simpler than others. Simpler does not mean easy.

Mostly you can expect the process to take up a lot of your time, and to learn a lot.

The best approach, once you have a good idea, is to try and enjoy the process, regardless of your success or not.

With a good idea it could be well worth the challenge, and even if the game fails in some way, who knows where it might lead, or who might be impressed with your attempt. From little things, big things can grow.
