jabberwacky: Hello F4ll0ut
Sorry been away and just saw your port, not sure what key you are pressing to get your fix ?
Alt + ??

F4LL0UT: Alt Gr, that's the Alt key on the right side of the keyboard. It has worked several times for me. I can't guarantee that I didn't accidentally press something else before that, though. I'm positive, though, that pressing Alt Gr was the moment the keyboard started working normally again.

toxicTom: [Alt Gr] ist the right Alt key, at least "Alt Gr" (Alt Groß) is what it's called on German layouts.

F4LL0UT: Actually it stands for "Alt Graph" or "Alt Graphic" and that's what it's called internationally. Admittedly I also thought it was the German name of the key until I noticed that it's the same on Polish keyboards.
Ah that old chestnut, yeah whenever something weird happens with your keyboard always pound away at the ALT, CTRL and Shift keys. People never believed me when I told them that the first time, support is such a great job.

Interesting. Heard it called Alt Groß from the beginning and never questioned it. Every day you learn something new. Thanks for the correction/explanation. Then I guess it was the other way round: Shift+Alt was a replacement for machines without an Alt-Gr key (like the Amiga, which had only two Alt keys).

I am still experiencing issues with GOG even after upgrading to W10 and it seems like no resolve from their support grp on this either as of today.

Wonderful, thank you! This fixed the same problem for me. I also have no aftermarket keyboard drivers. It's a bug with Galaxy obviously to affect so many users...
Same here, I am actually using a Samsung notebook, and every time the gog galaxy application launched, I can't type. It was like someone kept pushed the ctrl key for me, when I clicked "d" in a browser, it saves a bookmark, when I clicked "s" in a browser, it saved the current page..

received a follow up from the support team and it solved my issue

"get 1.1 build, available in preview, You need to check "Receive preview updates to test upcoming features" in the Settings dialog, then restart the client"

Hopefully it will also work for all of you.
Here it is 2018, and the problem is still at hand.
Get a Unicomp Model M.
No fancy features to screw up, no Christmas lights, no macros, and buckling spring to boot.
