Hello folks,

some time (years :-) apparently) ago, I saw a strategy game, think it was RTS, and it included massive buildings, obelisks, lasers etc. In relation to the units, tanks etc., the buildings where just massive.
So obviously some kind of sci-fi type of RTS where you also build a base.

Imho, could recognize this stuff when I see it. However without any clues I'm a bit helpless and searching all older RTS seems a hassle, since that was the time when those games were "in". So hoping someone somehow maybe remembering this.

What I definitely know it was not Command and Conquer series, Dune, or Spellforce. And from time to time, I'm thinking, to find out what that was cos I'm collecting stuff from my youth .. so looking for any clues. Any help is appreciated and ofc, it has no urgency :-D

Thanks.

Can you provide more details? It was 3D? From 2000-2010 or before? Any details about the story?
Perimeter
Perimeter: Emperor's Testament
?
Do you remember more details? Like the setting or any gameplay mechanics?

First thing that comes to mind is this: https://www.gog.com/game/xmorph_defense_complete_edition
Ground Control comes to mind, I used to play it in the early noughties, it had very tiny units compared to the buildings, it is very hard to find screenshots, but look at this one, pretty big difference in size.
State of War?

Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/748040/State_of_War__Warmonger___Classic_2000/

GOG Wishlist - https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=state%20of%20war
Dark Reign 2
"Can you provide more details? It was 3D? From 2000-2010 or before?"

- both yes, def. not before 2000 and not after 2015, more likely not after 2012.
Perimeter/Dark Reign I should have mentioned: those are not it.
XMORPH I played here on GOG :-D it was awesome, not the one I'm trying to remember though.
And State of War - yes looks from unit size etc. a little bit like it however: no credits, no asian characters and a building menu exists in the bottom. like in Star Craft.
Ground control looks too empty from the surroundings I remember a lot of nice environments, like forests.

Oh and am pretty sure it didn't have free cam like in Warzone or Dark Reign, but fixed cam, like KKND (which it isn't too btw.) And its probably not on GOG I browsed lots of games here already. Steam is another size ...

Ah and it's not EARTH 21xx series too.

PS: screw my brain and should've asked the name back then, it bugs me out right now :-D

anyway thx to all trying to help, very nice!

edit: currently working through this liste here:

any possible memory on how many races you could play?

the post made me think of Universe at War: Earth Assault
One of the Supreme Commander games, perhaps?
Not sure, but maybe Total Annihilation?

Lil'bit shame on me, but it's Warhammer 40k Dawn of War I or II - 99% sure.

Found it with help of a friend he looked through his steam lib for me,,,.
thx to all trying to help, closed.

edit: Universe at War: Earth Assault
